This Privacy Policy explains how Nalod Associates LLC ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and protects your information when you use The Musky Library (the "Service"). The Service is offered to users in the United States and Canada. By using the Service, you agree to this Policy.
Information We Collect
- Account information. Such as your email address, used to create and secure your account and to sign you in across devices.
- Content you create. Lures, catches, depth logs, waypoints, notes, photos, and related details you add to the app.
- Subscription information. If you purchase Pro, your purchase is processed by Apple. We receive confirmation of your subscription status but do not receive or store your full payment-card details.
- Usage & diagnostic data. Limited analytics and technical information (such as app interactions and crash data) that help us understand and improve how the Service works.
How We Use Your Information
We use your information to:
- provide, maintain, sync, and back up the Service and your data;
- process and manage subscriptions;
- respond to your support requests;
- improve and secure the Service and prevent abuse; and
- comply with legal obligations.
We Do Not Sell or Share Your Personal Information
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising or any similar purpose. We have no advertising trackers in the Service. We work with a small number of trusted service providers to operate the Service on our behalf — for authentication and database hosting, backend infrastructure hosting, media (photo) storage, subscription management, product analytics, and crash and error diagnostics. These providers act as our processors and are not permitted to use your information for their own purposes.
Service Providers
The providers we rely on may process your information only as needed to deliver their function (for example, storing your account and content, hosting your photos, confirming your subscription, or aggregating usage analytics). We do not authorize them to sell or independently use your information.
Aggregated & De-Identified Data
We may create aggregated or de-identified information that cannot reasonably be used to identify you — for example, combined statistics about fishing conditions, lures, and catch patterns across many users. We may use and retain this information for any purpose, including to analyze trends and to develop, improve, and promote the Service. We maintain and use such information only in de-identified form and do not attempt to re-identify it.
Data Retention & Your Choices
We keep your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service.
When you delete an item (a lure, catch, depth log, or waypoint), it is removed from your devices and hidden from your account immediately. For up to 60 days, a copy is retained on our servers in order to synchronize the deletion across your devices; after that period it is permanently purged.
When you delete your account, all of your data — including any items pending deletion — is permanently and immediately removed. You can delete your account at any time in the app (Settings → Account). If you need help, email support@muskylibrary.com and we'll take care of it. You may also request access to, or correction of, the personal information we hold about you.
Security
We use industry-standard measures to protect your data in transit and at rest. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we work to safeguard your information.
Children's Privacy
The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
Your Regional Rights
Depending on where you live (including under California and Canadian privacy laws), you may have rights to access, correct, or delete your personal information, and to not be discriminated against for exercising those rights. Because we do not sell or share personal information, no "Do Not Sell or Share" action is required. To delete your data, delete your account in the app (Settings → Account). For access, correction, or any other request, email us below.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date above.
